The conversation I had with myself after first hearing this band. The Ohio natives released the track “Get Healed” off album Tog Pebbles almost three months ago. At first glance, the song seems undoubtedly upbeat with all the natural sounds (birds, a rare species of frog maybe?), almost tribal feel originating from the combination of Congo drums and floor toms, and the undeniable campy lake feel but if you pay close attention to the lyrics of the song it has a melancholy undertone, making the song a rich bittersweet.
